Kelly Dodd, agent/owner, is a lifelong resident of Edmond with over 21 years of experience as a licensed insurance agent.  She graduated from Edmond Memorial High School and attended both Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.  Kelly majored in engineering in college and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Science with emphasis in Physics and Math.  Due to her analytical background and her love of sales and working with people, insurance was an easy choice of career.  She graduated in 1999 and began her career at Farmers Insurance, where she owned an Agency from 1999 to 2007.  She was one of Farmers top OKC producers and won many awards and accolades for her achievements.  In 2007, after the birth of her first two daughters, she then decided to take 2 years off from insurance to focus on her young children. 

In 2009, Kelly then re-entered the insurance world, this time as an independent agent.  She loved the idea of having limitless carrier options at her disposal.  Kelly really loved the idea of being able to create a very custom package for each client’s specific needs. 

In 2020, Kelly then partnered with Hometown Insurance, domiciled out of Tulsa, OK.  She wanted to create a beautiful, fun, modern branch of Hometown, right here in Edmond.  It was then that the Hometown Insurance Dodd Agency was born.  Since 2020, Kelly has worked diligently to help create the most value driven insurance packages for her clients, not just focusing on price but also making sure to add in all of the value added products that her clients may or may not even be aware of.  She is constantly seeking new ways to integrate new technologies into the Agency, such as click to pay, a completely paperless Agency system, utilizing DocuSign platforms through all carriers for signature, as well as helping all of her clients to be able to easily access their documents by teaching them how to use the various carrier apps.  Kelly understands that life is busy and she wants to make sure that your insurance packages are properly tailored for your specific needs, all the while allowing you to press the “easy button” and allow her to do the work for you.

Kelly has 3 beautiful, thriving daughters whom she considers her greatest achievements.  Her oldest is a student at Oklahoma University and is majoring in business with a minor in marketing.  In addition to college, she also owns her own business, creating permanent jewelry.  Kelly’s middle daughter attends Deer Creek High School where she is a varsity cheerleader and a straight A student.  Her youngest daughter is a vibrant 4th grader at Deer Creek as well. This little firecracker also carries her mother’s entrepreneurial spirit, operating a few little “businesses” that she has created.  In Kelly’s free time, her favorite activity is traveling the world with her family and seeing all the world has to offer.  She values memories and experiences over “things” and hopes to visit every continent and hopefully the majority of countries at some point.  Kelly is always up for an adventure and loves roller coasters, scuba diving, zip lining, and pretty much any outdoor activity.
